Sanatorium Holiday Planned for September

For many years volunteers have travelled out to Belarus every summer to a sanatorium to make sure that children and young people with disabilities have a brilliant holiday. Other volunteers spent time in some of the institutions we support to organise activities for those not able to go on the holiday.

It is not possible to send volunteers to Belarus at the moment, but we are funding a holiday for disabled young people who will go with their mums or carers to Ptich Sanatorium. They will include Anton, Stas and Anya, who live at our Family Home, Rodni Kut in Rogachev; Greesha and Ira who recently had to move from our other Family Home at Klimovka, plus other young people from Kapatkevichi, their new home; Ira and her mum (you may remember Ira from our book ‘Living with Chernobyl’); Adam, who volunteers will know from Rechitsa, and who now lives at Kapatkevichi with his wife Nastya!
