Linda founded the charity in 1995 and has coordinated its activities since then. She visits Belarus four times a year to review progress on ourprojects and also makes regular visits to our local groups. In recognition for the work of CCP(UK) she was awarded an MBE in 2006.

Cath joined CCP in 2000 as coordinator of our very successful group in Solihull. In 2006 she became our National Treasurer and Group Coordinator and plays a very active role in all aspects of the daily management of the charity, becoming a trustee in 2020.

Geoff is an experienced social worker who has worked for the Children and Armed Conflict Unit of the Childrens Legal Centre, UK and UNICEF. He has worked in numerous ex-Soviet countries developing services for children in conflict with the law who are in closed institutions and children abandoned by their families. Geoff also has experience of working with children with limitations linked to developmental delay and disability.

Denis has been involved with CCP UK since 1997. He hosted groups of mothers and children at Christmas time for many years and played a key role for 20 years in our Buxton and Longnor group, which hosted diabetic children for recuperative holidays.

Lynne Murphy is a trustee of the charity. She first went to Ptich Sanatorium in 2008. Since then she has spent two weeks every summer at Zhuravichi Boarding Home and has encouraged many other volunteers to travel out to Belarus too. In addition to her role as Volunteer Coordinator, Lynne continues to work tirelessly to raise funds for CCP.

Brian is Chair of the trustees of CCP (UK) and has volunteered with Lynne and the team at Zhuravichi Boarding Home since 2015. Brian is also responsible for the charity’s website.

Helena became Coordinator for the Glossop and New Mills Group three years ago, after growing up with hosting children and then visiting Belarus 11 times as a volunteer at the Holiday Camp and Zhuravichi. In 2020 she became a long overdue addition to the management team.

Kath has been involved with CCP since she and her husband started hosting in 2007. In 2012 Kath took on the role of Solihull Group Coordinator in which she organised the hosting over the years of many groups of teenagers. Kath became a very welcome addition to the management team in 2020.

Mags and Ken joined the charity in early 1995 and drove an ambulance with humanitarian aid out to Belarus just a few weeks later. They then led several aid convoys to Belarus. Mags and Ken have always played a key part in the management of the charity and co-ordinated the Glossop group for many years. In 2020 they decided to step back from day to day involvement with the charity and were duly awarded Honorary Lifetime Trusteeship in recognition of their long and sterling service to CCP.
