Help a Palliative Child and Her Family to Have a Happy Christmas

Every year CCP gives the Hospice team in Gomel some extra funds to help with buying Christmas gifts for the children in their care. You could support this with a gift of £20 via our online shop.

Some children receive their presents at homeand others are able to attend a Christmas Party, which is great fun for the brothers and sisters of some of the most disabled children. These pictures were taken last Christmas.

Christmas and New Year in Belarus goes from December 25th, when a few celebrate Christmas to ‘Old New Year’ on January 13th. Orthodox Christmas is January 6th and New Year’s Eve is the biggest event in the calendar.

The Home Palliative Care Team has been largely funded by the Health Care Department in Gomel in the last few years, after many years of being solely funded by CCP. We are now providing a psychologist whose support is much appreciated by some of the families.
