Funding our work

Our local groups do a great job raising funds to cover the cost of the children's holidays and to contribute towards aid deliveries and our projects in Belarus. Ideas that have been successfully tried in recent months include asking for donations instead of gifts for birthday parties and weddings, and organising events as diverse as art auctions and maggot races!
For our major new project, the 'Cloud Nine' Centre we have received most of our funding from the Harris Lamb Ball and other supporters in our Solihull group. The British Embassy will also contribute towards the building work and we hope to receive a grant from UNICEF to fund a programme of training and exchange visits for the future staff of the Centre.

• A Rowathon held at Alsager Leisure Centre raised over £2,000 and set up the sixth fastest time in the world for rowing 100,000 metres.
