| Holiday at Neman Sanatorium | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Once
again we will organise a holiday in Belarus for children with disabilities
from Zhuravichi and Rechitsa School for Children with Cerebral Palsy. Some
of those who went out as volunteers to work with the children last year
have offered to go agan, and we have a number of others, particularly medical
students from Birmingham and Manchester, who are also keen to take part
this year. They will be joined by students from Minsk who are studying to
become teachers of children with Special Needs, and all will work together
to provide craft and sports activities for the chidlren, and give them a
memorable holiday. The holiday will take place from late July for three weeks. We ask volunteers to raise sponsorship to cover their air fare and to spend either the first or the last two weeks of the holiday in Belarus. There will be a preliminary planning meeting in Solihull on Saturday March 23rd. |
