Aid Deliveries

Our warehouse in Selby was bursting at the seams with aid when we loaded our trucks in March for the April delivery to Belarus. To add to our articulated wagon and seven and a half ton truck, we have just been bought a step trailer (even bigger than the 40 foot trailer we already have) by David and Paul Campey, who own our Selby warehouse. They will both be driving out in April on the convoy lead by Mike Allison, our Aid Co-ordinator.
We have some space in Leek, Gloucester Lancaster and Newcastle and a trailer in Glossop, but we are still greatly in need of a bigger warehouse. Anyone who thinks they could help with this should contact Mike on 01977 684832.
Provided we have the space to store it we need for future aid deliveries: mobility aids for children with disabilities; hospital furniture; educational toys and games, computers (486's or pentiums in good working order) good quality clothes and bedding, push chairs and baby goods, sewing machines and craft materials; tools for woodworking or metalwork; household items, nappies and toiletries. We do not have the resources to pack, clean and check items ourselves so we rely on groups and supporters to check that equipment is working and complete, make sure that everything is clean and to pack clothes and bedding into either boxes or strong bags.
The next trip will take place in early June (this means loading in early May - probably 5th and 12th - as the manifest must be sent to Belarus three weeks before the truck arrives). There will be further deliveries in late September (load weekend Sept. 1st) and early November.
