Supporting families

ONE of the groups we work with in Belarus is the Cerebral Palsy Association in Gomel. They have 300 members and some of the families who joined with young children, are now coping with young adults with severe physical needs and often learning difficulties too. Some of these mums and their grown up children have not had a holiday for many years. We put out an appeal for help with providing holidays and FoCC in Driffield sponsored six families to have a wonderful three weeks in a sanatorium near to Rogachev. A new charity ‘Chernobyl Children Outreach’, is now planning to channel support and funds through us to the Psychiatric Hospital in Gomel and to a village kindergarten. We would be very happy to link other groups and charities with suitable projects in Belarus
