Vikov Home for Disabled Adults

MANY of the young people who leave Zhuravichi go to Vikov, a home in the forest just outside Rogachev. For the more active young people, those who have mild learning difficulties, life is quite busy with work to do in the grounds and discos in leisure time. But the staff at Vikov had neither the time nor the knowledge to be able to occupy the more disabled and autistic young people. During the last two years we have employed a young woman with some teaching experience to work with these young people. Natasha has painted cheerful pictures on the wall; encouraged the young people to draw and play with the toys we supply; and has been teaching some of the more capable people to sew and to read.
