Aid to Belarus

Gus Stern was one of the most important benefactors of our charity, and without his support in our early years, we might never have been able to grow and expand our support for the children of Belarus. He bought our first ambulance in 1995; donated the first year’s salary for our national co-ordinator a year later; and continued to fund many initiatives until he no longer had any money to give. Gus took great delight in his ability to contribute to the welfare of children, and to the campaigns he cared about so deeply - for peace and justice, and an end to the international arms trade.
Gus died earlier this year and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
