Wilmslow and East Cheshire had a great summer hosting children from Belarus. The children were lovely and the host families had a brilliant experience hosting them. For more information, read the article printed in the Knutsford Guardian or contact Nicola on the number below.
One of the host families wrote this lovely poem after a trip to the Clay Cafe in Knutsford.
CLAY POT CAFE
Glazed owls glare out from painted pots of clay Two Russian girls are proud of their display They’ve had some treatment, been on medication Are here for rest, respite, recuperation We’ve fed them well, not talked a lot My French is reasonable, my Russian’s not too hot I hope that they stay well, they have been ill Legacy of a town – called Chernobyl|
