RUGBY GROUP
SUMMER VISIT 2008

This summer the Rugby Group hosted six girls aged 13-16 and two 18 year old girls in remission from cancer. Despite the age difference the girls got on very well together, and thanks to the generosity of local groups like the Rugby Lawn Tennis Club and  the Scouts (archery) we managed to dodge the rain on several occasions and have lots of fun in the fresh air. Other outings included the zoo, the seaside, the safari park, and the annual favourite, a sightseeing tour of London.
When it came time to go home it became obvious that perhaps the local people had been a little too generous and decisions had to be made about what they could take and what had to be left behind.  However, I donŐt believe this spoiled their holiday, and I am sure they all had a brilliant time.   I know there are a record number of host families who want to do it all over again next year.
