MONK FRYSTON GROUP
Chairman: Roy Holland • Tel: 01977 683054
The group is based on the villages around Monk Fryston, which is about seven miles west of Selby in North Yorkshire.
Volunteer members host children in the summer, raise money around the year, and help with humanitarian aid.
Some members and friends take an active part in the series of convoys which take aid to Belarus.

Thanks from the children of Belarus to our supporters

THE above picture was our way of saying thank you on behalf of the 10 children who stayed with us this summer to the people who have helped us.
Particular thanks go to the staff at
LinPac for their contribution not only to the visit but in their excellent fundraising efforts.
Since the group was formed in 1996 we have hosted more 100 children, most of them from Uvaravichi village in the heavily contaminated Gomel region of Belarus.
Whilst the children are here we ensure they eat wholesome, uncontaminated food and get plenty of our fresh air. Doctors say that holidays in ‘clean’ areas can boost their immune system, thus helping prevent illness and supporting recovery.
Although there is plenty of spare time for the children to settle into family life UK-style, we organise a programme of events ranging from discos to outings to the seaside.
Over the years some of these events have been financed through sponsorship by individuals and companies, and this year's help was exceptional.
If you can help in any way, or would like to get involved in the fundraising activities of the group, please contact chairman Roy Holland.
