SUMMER VISIT 2006

This summer we had 12 young children to stay with us in Gloucestershire; many of whom were from Jurovichi school as usual, but also from Kalinkovichi and Minsk Region. The children were no trouble and all made the effort to mix and get on with the English families as well as each other.

Going to the beach was one of the highlights of the month, with all the children enjoying swimming in the sea. Visits to Drayton Manor, Techniquest in Cardiff and The Cotswold Wildlife Park, as well as the ever-popular shopping day, were all also enjoyed by everyone.

We gained much pleasure from the Belrussian childrenπs attempt to teach us Russian, and their enjoyment of their time with us.

It was altogether a very happy and successful summer together with only a few hiccups and hair-raising moments!
