SUMMER VISIT 2007

This July we celebrated ten years of hosting children and their mothers

for recuperative holidays. Three of the children had type one diabetes-

Danila aged three, Kiril aged four and Kostia aged seven, and three in

remission from various cancers, Natasha five, Gleb six, and Marsha seven.

The children and mothers all got on very well together which made for a

very happy group. They came to the UK for three weeks and spent two

with their host families and one in a converted schoolhouse on Anglesey.

The sunny weather made for a perfect beach holiday, especially for those

who had not seen the sea before. Here they are posing in hand knitted

sweaters made especially for them.

Although before their arrival our weather had consisted of continual rainfall.

when our visitors came we enjoyed many sunny days, or so it seems in

retrospect! Two of our host families have hosted for all of the ten years

and voted this year one of the best.
