A performance by Ginny Davis, “Ten Days That Shook The Kitchen”. This is a one-woman show:  Very funny, recognisable, good entertainment.  Ginny Davis is a writer and performer who specialises in comedic, one-woman monologues on the subject of family life.  Her character ‘Ruth Rich’, a stay-at-home mother of three, features in her three current plays.  A sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe!  Please support and help to raise more funds for CCP!  Please contact Suzan Kerridge 01785 280566 or Sheelagh Stockely 01782 502264.  Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £5 for children, 7-12yrs.    Volunteers are needed to help serve, tea and cakes at half time, and also to help set out chairs and collect tickets on the door.  You can have a look at Ginny Davies on youtube.

This little girl is called Vika, she is nine years old and has benefited greatly from spending time at the Mayflower Respite Care Centre in Gomel.  Her family have been struggling to cope with the demands of looking after a profoundly disabled child, but with the care and support received from the Centre, she is now able to stay with her family.  We support many children with disabilities, some living in institutions like Zhuravichi and other belonging to family associations. This little girl is from the Diabetic Association in Gomel who are grateful for all the support they recieve for their families, particularly from our Buxton group, who host the children for holidays and raise funds for the Association.

Anton, with his mum Tamara, is one of a group of young children in remission from cancer enjoying a wonderful Christmas Holiday in Buxton and Longnor. They will spend a traditional English Christmas with families and the rest of their visit they are all staying together at High Ash Farm in Longnor. The children and their mums have been to Chatsworth House and Arighi Bianci in Macclesfield and been entertained by Buxton Lions. They will also go to Poole’s Cavern and see a panto at Buxton Opera House. Local supporters will join them for a New year’s Eve Party with Belarusian food prepared by the mums. Staffordshire Moorlands MP Karen Bradley visited the group and we are delighted that she plans to support our campaign to get better treatment from the UK Border Agency.
