In 2011 we were given a wonderful Charity Shop in Crook, County Durham which had been run by a local charity ‘Crook for Chernobyl Children’.
The shop was, and still is, very popular with all the locals. It receives generous donations of goods almost every day and there is a constant stream of visitors.
Gerald Hirst, the shop Manager, knows everyone and makes sure there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
And we have many wonderful volunteers who give their time and energy to help make the shop the great success it is.
Gerald and his team raise around £30,000 every year for CCP.
We also have a Market Stall in Stoke Indoor Market which is run by a team of dedicated volunteers on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The stall is very popular with the locals and has proved to be a great success over the past three years, bringing in extra funds for the Charity.
