As we approach the 25th Anniversary of the Chernobyl Disaster, our thoughts today are with the people of Japan. Major problems at some of their nuclear power stations are still far from under control. On top of the utter devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami, the reactors at Fukushima could release high levels of radioactivity which would affect the country for years to come. We very much hope that Japan will not need in future to appeals for recuperative holidays for its children in a clean environment, as doctors in Belarus and Ukraine first did 20 years ago and continue to do to this day.
